What is the Objective of Sixes Road Community Association for 2010?

Sixes Road Community Association (SRCA) continues its efforts to build community spirit among neighborhoods and businesses located along Sixes Road and businesses adjacent to Sixes Road on Bells Ferry Road and Canton Road.

The results of our efforts are easy to see.  Just compare the look of the Sixes Road median and adjacent sidewalks and the roadside of Bells Ferry Road to other County Roads and Interstate 575.  We also maintain the south side of the I-575 interchange and are proud of the look of this area.  We are not currently maintaining the north side of the I-575 interchange as a reminder to residents and business owners of the value SRCA adds to our community.  There is no trash along SRCA maintained areas because SRCA oversees cleaning it up weekly. 

All Sixes Road neighborhoods, with a homeowner association, pay $20.00 per household to keep Sixes Road and Bells Ferry Road maintained.  This is a low-cost investment to maintain these areas year round.  It represents just five cents per day.

Sixes Road Business Owners – We Need You!

During 2009 we attempted to solicit commercial owners to also join SRCA. Sixes Road is the driveway to their businesses.  We had little success in this effort.  We made  personal calls, followed up with written solicitations and still only six businesses joined.  A commercial business pays an annual membership fee based upon the square footage the business occupies.  Check out the businesses that joined by checking the commercial owner profiles on this website.  It does not take long to see the many businesses owners that show little or no interest in the look of our community.

We are not giving up in 2010, but we need every shopper to a Sixes Road, Bells Ferry Road and Canton Road business to ask the owner or manager why they are not displaying the SRCA window decal.  These businesses survive because of the residents living in our community.  Please help extend our sales force to bring an awareness of our important work and let them know your disappointment for their demonstrated lack of interest.
